Location: Long Beach production brewery taproom and our Torrance taproom at The Enclave

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually (salary, exempt)

Trademark Brewing is seeking an experienced Taproom Manager to lead front-of-house operations across our Long Beach production brewery taproom and our Torrance location at The Enclave. Established professionals should apply. A minimum of 1 year in a hospitality leadership role is required, and preference may be given to candidates with deeper experience.

About Us

Our award-winning brewery sits at the top of Downtown Long Beach with a large taproom, expansive outdoor beer garden, and frequent engagement with our community. We have invested in the neighborhood and are excited to grow our team.

Our beer portfolio spans three primary lanes: everything hoppy, continental styles, and a touch of barrel-aged. We operate a mash-filter-equipped 17 bbl brewhouse with 500+ bbl of cellar capacity. We work smarter, not harder, with a relentless focus on quality, consistency, and innovation.

Role Overview

The Taproom Manager oversees daily operations, staff leadership, guest experience, and events for both locations. You will recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a high-performing team, champion hospitality standards, and ensure our spaces run smoothly and profitably. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and when needed discipline taproom staff

  • Plan and execute taproom events and select offsite events

  • Train staff on all products and guest service standards

  • Oversee service to ensure an excellent guest experience

  • Interview, select, and onboard FOH hourly hires

  • Monitor product quality across both taprooms

  • Build and publish schedules to ensure adequate coverage

  • Order and maintain FOH supplies and dry goods

  • Provide floor coverage when needed

  • Maintain menus and pricing in the POS

  • Coordinate small party reservations, promotions, and activations

  • Complete weekly tip worksheets for payroll

  • Manage and schedule food truck vendors

  • Oversee draft system maintenance, crowler machine, and retail coolers

  • Uphold cash handling procedures, opening and closing banks

  • Verify guest age for alcohol service and manage over-service situations

  • Make sound, timely decisions and manage the moment

  • De-escalate and handle disruptive visitors

  • Communicate effectively with guests and the team

  • Lead bar staff during service

  • Provide feedback to leadership on operations and guest insights

  • Transfer and re-stock kegs between coolers and bars

  • Maintain clean, organized bars and service areas, including glassware, mopping, and nightly side work

  • Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties per TMb procedures

  • Serve as a key holder with alarm code access

  • Report equipment failures and safety hazards promptly

  • Attend weekly TMb leadership meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in a hospitality leadership role

  • Proven team leadership and scheduling experience

  • Strong POS proficiency and cash handling accuracy

  • Event planning and vendor coordination experience preferred

  • Draft system familiarity preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Reliable transportation for shift coverage between Long Beach and Torrance

  • Availability for weekends, evenings, and events

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, move, pull, or carry 55 lbs and safely maneuver 160 lb kegs with proper tools

  • Stand for 8 to 12 hours per shift

  • Twist, turn, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, climb as required

  • Work in hot or cold conditions, indoors and outdoors, for extended periods

Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent TMb at festivals and community events

  • Lead occasional brewery tours
